  • Saturday in Taree

It was so hot today I actually had to put the overhead fan on to cool things down.  I was very tired after our late night crop last night, I didn't get home till about 2am and then had to be back at work this morning at 10am.

On the plus side I did get the opportunity to scrap last night.  We've had a new swap on the shop forum - an Op Swap Shop where we had to hunt and find some unusual goodies at op shops for our scrapbooking for $5.00.  We then had to scrap a page using the goodies, I got mine last night and it included some doilies, lace, ribbon, buttons and a 2 cent coin.

  • Fathers Day

The weather finally cleared up here and we managed to actually have some sunshine for Fathers Day - Graeme loved his new DVD's - "Life on Mars" series 1 and 2.  He watched the final show of the series and has been on about it for months about how he wished he had watched the whole series, plus the lead actor is "The Master" from Dr Who, so it seemed natural that he get something he actually wanted for Fathers Day rather than the usual socks.

We ended up going for a drive in the afternoon - looking around at various places for sale trying to work out what we want to buy but nothing grabbed us, so we'll just keep on looking.

I finished my class for Wednesday night - a very cute Bella cork album.  It was meant to be a boy album but having no boys I was able to still use it for the girls and it turned out great.  Will post it up once I teach it this week.

It feels weird that our competition at the forum has finished, it went for so long and we put so much into it that now its over I'm kinda twiddling my thumbs - but not for long, we've got new challenges happening all the time to keep me out of trouble.

  • Time to Blog

Ok so its me - I'm here !!

The last couple of months have just been flying past and I have such little time that I have really put of doing a blog but now I feel I really should do one - just for me.

I'm a 40 something, mother of 3 beautiful girls, wife, daughter and owner of a terrific scrapbooking store in country NSW Australia.  When we took over there was a fair bit that needed to be done so the last 6 months have been really full on, so much to learn, do and find.

Anyone who thinks that because you own a scrapbook store you must have lots of time to scrap is mad!!  There is NO time whatsoever.  On the upside you do get to meet lots of wonderful people - from all walks of life.

I've always loved hearing people's stories - so I guess scrapbooking to me means putting the story down on a page, my own story and my families - we're very different, hopes and dreams of 3 girls vary depending on age, friends and mood.

Lots of people inspire me - I look at their layouts and am just amazed at their creativity and ideas they have for putting their pages together.

One thing that I particularly love are OTP items - what a fantastic treasure for someone to have, hand made art.

I don't think I have a favourite syle or person that I follow, I do love Becky Higgins but there are now so many its really hard to list them all.
